SPECIALTIES
I offer in-person and virtual counseling sessions for adult individuals and couples who are struggling with life transitions, loss, and late blooming.
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Are you finding a new experience difficult to navigate? Do you feel the natural urge to resist a recent change? Life transitions are a shared experience for ALL humans. Even though we can expect change to happen throughout the course of our life, it can sometimes be difficult, confusing, and cause anxiety. Whether it's a personal, career, or relationship issue, we can work through these challenges and help you emerge stronger and more equipped to handle future transitions.
PERINATAL, POSTPARTUM & PARENTHOOD
One of life's biggest transitions; our worldview changes as soon as we see a positive pregnancy test. Through perinatal and postpartum counseling, I can provide support and guidance for mothers (and fathers!) during pregnancy and after childbirth. My goal is to help parents navigate the emotional, physical, and relational changes that come with having a new baby, as well as provide resources for coping with postpartum depression and anxiety. I can help you identify the support you need during this exciting and challenging time.
COUPLES & PREMARITAL COUNSELING
Most couples seeking counseling want to build stronger, healthier relationships. Whether you're struggling with communication, trust, or intimacy issues, I provide a supportive environment to help you work through your challenges.
In premarital counseling, I help couples prepare for a successful marriage. We will address potential issues before they arise while working together to build a strong foundation for this exciting new chapter.
GRIEF & LOSS
It's often said that grief is love with nowhere to go. Grief is our natural, emotional reaction to loss. It can be an uncomfortable topic for many, met with cliches that try to logically address your deep and unsettling feelings. I create a safe environment for you to process your grief without pressure or timeline so that you may begin to heal and find a sense of peace amidst the pain of loss.
MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS & CARETAKERS
As a medical professional or caretaker, you give so much of yourself, energy, and resources to others. While it may be fulfilling, these high-stress environments can also be incredibly draining. If you are actively preparing for loss, you may also experience anticipatory grief as a result. Your personal care is just as important as the care you provide. Whether you are a physician, nurse, or familial caregiver, seeking support through counseling can help you maintain your well-being and provide better care for your patients or loved ones.
LATE BLOOMING
Do you feel left behind when everyone around you seems to have it all together? Are you feeling stuck and lacking direction? Late blooming adults are often characterized as those who don't discover their true potential until "later" in life. We live in a world of comparison and societal pressures, which can leave late bloomers feeling inadequate, frustrated, or lost. We can work together to navigate your life at your own pace while setting your own meaningful goals. Your timeline is uniquely yours and yours alone!
